Celebrate Stafford County’s Natural Heritage

Celebrate Stafford County’s Natural Heritage at Birdhouse.farm’s Farm-to-Table Event: Honoring Norman Cooper

Saturday, October 26th - Join us for a meaningful evening of locally sourced food, property tours, and a tribute to the people and practices that continue to nourish our land.

We’re excited to announce a special Farm-to-Table event at Birdhouse.farm, where we’ll celebrate Stafford County’s natural heritage and honor the remarkable legacy of Norman Cooper, one of the first in our community to adopt and practice sustainable agriculture. At Birdhouse.farm, we are committed to growing in harmony with nature, and this event reflects that philosophy. This event is also a moment to recognize the significant impact of a leader in the progress and appreciation of the natural heritage of Stafford County. Our first honoree is Norman Cooper, whose commitment to our community and has been exceptional. He has done this while growing a great variety of foods using down to earth farming practices while simultaneously teaching kids how to do it and how to bring these locally grown goods to market.

Supporting Local Tourism and Byways

In addition to celebrating our agricultural heritage, this event aims to support the byways and tourism in Stafford County. By promoting local farms, businesses, and natural attractions, we can encourage visitors to explore our beautiful region and experience all it has to offer. The scenic byways provide an incredible opportunity for travelers to discover our community’s rich history, breathtaking land and skyscapes, and vibrant culture.

Your participation in this event not only honors Norman Cooper’s legacy but also contributes to the growth of agritourism and local economies in Stafford County. We believe that by fostering appreciation for our land and its bounty, we can strengthen our community and inspire future generations to continue these practices.
